Senior Management

Dr. Edgell is a founder of EAG and has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, International since March 2008. Prior thereto, Dr. Edgell had been the Executive Vice President, Operations and Development since September 2005. From 1990 to 2003, Dr. Edgell has had increasingly responsible positions with EAG, most recently serving as the Vice President and General Manager, with profit and loss responsibility for sites in California, Minnesota, New England and Taiwan. From 1986 to 1990 Dr. Edgell worked as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. While there, Dr. Edgell established the Surface Analysis Laboratory utilising XPS and Auger techniques, and initiated commercial analytical services. Dr. Edgell has been published widely in the field, with more than 100 technical publications in technical journals such JVST, Surface Science, and Applied Physics Letters. Dr. Edgell completed both his BSc (Hons) and Ph.D. degrees in the United Kingdom, the former in Materials Science and the latter in Surface Science. His Ph.D. involved investigation of corrosion and catalysis mechanisms (under sponsorship from British Petroleum), at the University of Surrey under Professor James E. Castle.
