EAG Application Solutions for Materials Characterization & Surface Analysis

At Evans Analytical Group® (EAG), we characterize materials by analyzing the surface and/or near surface of a sample. Based on the information you need, we can select the best analytical technique for your project. Most of our techniques use solid samples, or sometimes small liquid samples employed to extract chemical information about a solid surface. There are numerous scenarios where materials characterization and surface analysis are good a choice, most of which fall under two categories:

• You know what material you have, but you want more information about specific properties, such as interface sharpness, distribution profiles, morphology, crystal structure, thickness, stress, and quality.
• You have a material you do not fully understand, and you want to find out about its composition, contamination, residues, interface layers, impurities, etc.
